Research and/or clinical interests

Dr. Joshua Veatch currently works with Dr. Stanley Riddell at the Fred Hutch on new immune therapies to help patients with melanoma. In one project, they are developing a new type of cancer vaccine targeted at the mutations specific to a patient's cancer, in order to strengthen T-cell responses to fight the cancer. They are also developing a new T-cell treatment for patients with the BRAF mutation and trying to understand the role of “helper” CD4 T cells in fighting cancer.
