Research and/or clinical interests

Dr. Victor Chow is a clinical researcher who creates new treatments for patients afflicted with relapsed or refractory lymphomas. He seeks to combine cellular therapies with novel, targeted agents. He is keen on developing new conditioning regimens for autologous stem cell transplantation, in which patients receive high-dose chemotherapy or radiation treatment to rid the body of malignancy, followed by an infusion of their own blood stem cells. In addition, Dr. Chow is interested in how to best care for patients whose lymphomas unfortunately return after receiving a type of genetically engineered immunotherapy called chimeric antigen receptor, or CAR T-cell, therapy, and how to best sequence cellular therapies for such individuals. Clinically, Dr. Chow cares for patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
